UPDATE:
The good news is I don’t see my departure from gaming happening after all, and my 360 can stay safely in my arms instead of selling it…again… The bad news is I don’t have much money so guides for new games will be kept to a minimum for now.

ORIGINAL ENTRY:
After having battled plenty of personal demons over the past month, month and a half, all amplified by my frustrations from Mortal Kombat, my rear got kicked back into gear, and I started working on guides once more, as you can probably tell by the few guides I put together quickly for this site. However, the situations I thought were resolved have reared their heads once more, and even worse.

Sadly, my personal life has become a nightmare. There are many things I’ve been tolerating that a man simply shouldn’t, and they have exploded over the past week, as has my walls and kitchen cabinet door from my rage. On top of that, work has been working me hard and denying all but two days I put in for vacation time (those two to attend a wedding that never happened) with the latest being the 4th of July and my not being able to see my family once again due to the company saying it’s illegal to not give vacation time, yet denied me anyhow. There’s also my health issues, which will get worse since I lost my medical and have not been able to secure a new medical coverage to receive my Tysabri injections for my Multiple Sclerosis. Add on top of that being pulled over and given a huge citation against my flawless driving record for not having my lights on in a light mist (I saw the cop yet he couldn’t see me…as I climbed the hill to pass by him), money I don’t have and needs to go to pay electric and drivers insurance this month…Yeah, go figure, all this in a span of 4 days.

So, it’s with great sadly I must depart for a brief period of time. To pay these bills, I’m considering selling off my Xbox console, as well as selling off my recently acquired Nintendo 3DS in order to cover these bills and fines. I need a fresh start and will be cutting hours to get on the state medical program, and when that happens I will be sure to purchase a new console right away and get back to my duties. I’m not departing the site, I’m just departing from gaming, something I loathe doing to begin with.

Farewell, Dead Space 2! I know I did not have much time to get to know you better, and I wish I had more time to experience your science fiction horror awesomeness. Goodbye, Half Minute Hero! I had just started your guide and got some fun out of your ADHD-fueled gameplay, but alas it seems our time is being cut short. So long, Mario & Luigi: Bowser’s Inside Story! Your Super Mario RPG-esque qualities amazed me, and your proclamations from Fawful of him having chortles lead me to cry out loud, even public, to ask wtf a Chortle really is! Take care, Bust-a-Move Universe for the 3DS and all the wasted hours of pointless bubble busting fun I poured into you! Toodaloo, Zelda games I just purchased for the DS that I hadn’t even sat down to play yet. I think I’ll miss you the most of all…

With all that said, I hope you all understand the plight that I am in. I’ll probably just trade off my stuff at GameStop for some quick cash, which will kill me, but it needs to be done. That and maybe some of my DVDs at FYE. Hopefully I’ll bounce back from this quickly, and I’ll be back to guide writing soon.

Thank care gamers! See you all again soon!

About Apoch Weiss

27 years old, I am a high school graduate who studied Broadcast Communications. I own and operate Apoch's Metal Review at apochs.net, and was brought onto Lead Example as a guide writer. I'm employed full-time, currently engaged, and have the literal luck of Al Bundy if not worse. I prefer Arcade titles due to lack of time to complete full-length games, and much prefer Puzzle, Platforming, various RPG styles, and Survival Horror.
