Persona 4 Arena Comes To Europe 2012...
ALTUS and Zen United are pleased to announce that Persona 4 Arena (known as Persona 4 The Ultimate in Mayonaka Arena in Japan), will be making its way to Xbox 360 and Playstation 3 systems this year in Europe! It has been developed by both ALTUS and Arc System Works, using qualities from both sides, ALTUS handle the story, whilst Arc System Works includes their excellent fighting game mechanics which often come second to none, for those of you who have never played an Arc System Works fighting game, you're missing out, they are known for Blazblue (Street Fighter's top competitor) and Guilty Gear series, both very advanced, yet very open to beginners of the genre, seeing as they are working on this game, there should be no exceptions in the gameplay we'll be expecting. Persona 4 Arena will feature the most stunning hand-drawn high-definition 2D artwork, something Arc System Works is famous for in their games, whilst ALTUS will concentrate on the exciting storyline based two months after the events of Persona 4. Persona 4 Arena brings players back into the Midnight Channel where the students get engaged in deadly battles on this mysterious new programme called "P-1 Grand…
The Triumphant Return...
It is with great pleasure that I announce my return to Lead Example! It's a shame that I had to be gone for so long, and I honestly regret how long it took for me to make my way back here. But reality kinda hit me, and it kind of hit hard. So here's the what's what for me, in short terms.  I spent the last little while enthralled by one simple fact: My sister, whom everyone had thought dead for the last...11+ years, wasn't actually dead. My sister and I had been close as kids, so the event at the time shattered me and I built a lot of myself around what happened, so to say the least this was a big shock. I honestly wasn't sure how to handle it for the longest time, even as my sis and I were talking and getting to know each other (again). Next up came the indie game company I work for. Things were going great. Until the (now EX) VP stole about $1K and ran. Topped with the CEO getting married, the company kind of faced no funds, and began drifting apart. Sadly the no funds part hasn't been fixed,…
Apoch Interviews Aaron Miller (Bloodforg...
I recently was in contact with Climax Studios about a review copy of Bloodforge for my site, and was introduced through their PR contact to Aaron Miller. Aaron is a member of the Metal group Hexagram, as well as in charge of VFX for this title. He offered up an interview considering we both had a major thing in common: A love for Metal. So, after completing the review, I shot over some questions about his time with the studio, and about his band. Check out what he had to say in this e-mail response. How did it come about that you wound up working on the soundtrack for Bloodforge? Aaron: I work for Climax as a VFX artist normally, but music is something I’ve been doing all my life. When I heard they needed music I jumped on it, I already had some ideas of what I thought would be cool for it, they liked what I did for the early tests of the game. So I got the job to do the whole thing. Was it established at the start of the project that they wanted a more orchestral score to the album than a stricter Metal one? Aaron:…

February Gaming...
This has possibly been my most busy month of Gaming yet, I had a lot of games I wanted, some games such as Metal Gear Solid HD Collection have to wait.. but I don't really mind about it as I have played those games before, but I will get it eventually.. possibly when it hits the £20 mark or even lower. So the games I got this month are.. Final Fantasy XIII-2 Crystal Edition SoulCalibur V Catherine Stray Sheep Edition Blazblue Continuum Shift Extend Limited Edition These are all the games I couldn't say no to.. (you know how hard it is to say no to any of your favorite series).   Final Fantasy XIII-2 Thoughts This was really fun, for a good few days I couldn't unglue myself from it, I just really enjoyed it, more so than the first part, I was really thinking this was going to be just like Final Fantasy X-2 and would pale in comparison to the original game, but no, this actually was a lot better than the original Final Fantasy XIII, the story started to get interesting a lot faster than it did in FFXIII, the whole monster recruiting reminded me of…
Another update...
So it's been a bumpy week for us. We had a few database issues, and a few odd things didn't work with the site as intended. I have managed to fix all the really glaring issues, but there are still a few out there. Most of which you won't notice as it's just odd tweaks that need to be addressed. I haven't yet decided to re-activate our forum as it needs some work before I put it back online. In the past week we have spent our time updating the guide layouts and our archive, so everything plays nicely together. If you do experiencing any issues, please let us know, but I think I've managed to correct all the major ones. We know that our guide production has slowed down quite dramatically, but we still plan to bring you the best information we can. It may just take us a little longer as we all have prior commitments outside of Lead Example.
Site Update...
You have probably noticed that the site has finally been updated with the new look and functions. As of right now everything's a little bumpy and we're all working hard to get everything sorted out. Some guides won't display the overview info correctly, or may not have any at all. This is something that will take time to correct, but it shouldn't take too long. As of right now you may find parts of the site that look strange, or don't quite function as they should. This is all typical of an update. Things never work perfectly when you send them live. So in the coming days the site may seem a little up and down with everything being updated. Hopefully you should all notice the increased loading times and how we've streamlined the whole site to make it easier to use. We aim to bring the best we can, so hopefully this new update makes using our content easier. If you do happen to come across a really broken part of the site which needs attention please us the contact form to report any issues. Related Link: Contact Form
Site performance and status...
Over the past few months the sites has been acting a little strange with excessive load times and hindered performance. I've stepped back from producing content for the site for a short time to address this. The result will be a new framework and a new design to complement the sites change. So far the site is about 50% complete and has come together fairly well. I haven't run into any issues, but the workload is slow and steady. I may release some odd screenshots at some point, but if the workload keeps steady then the site should be complete in the coming weeks. I just wanted to post an update to what is going on and why the content flow has slowed down a little over the past month or so. [Update] One thing you may have noticed around the site is that we have decided to remove the comment system. Why? may you ask, well it comes down to site function. While digging through various performance issues I've discovered that the comment system has dragged down page load times. The easiest method to correct this is just remove the system totally.  Now that the system is totally disabled…
Writing for LE Saved My (Gaming) Life...
About two years ago (at least I think it was two at this point...it's all been a blur), Fizz approached me on-line and asked if I would be interested in working with him in building a new on-line achievement/trophy based community. After years of peddling my works to a rather ungrateful crowd at a website that remain nameless, and which the meer visit out of desperation finds me slamming my head against the keyboard meer moments in, it was easy to answer with one simple word: "Yes." Joining us on this venture was Sidedish, who we both have conversed with many times in the past on various grinds and achievement whoring sessions. Originally, the site was video based, centralized on Youtube while the site itself was being built, and when it did, the floodgates began to open. We had plenty of aspiring dreams, some of which haven't come to fruition yet, but that hasn't stopped us from trying our hardest to reach them. But, in the same way, I've come to put a good deal of time into this site. And, with that, I definitely would not have played half the craptastic titles I've played on the years of working…
My Time in Skyrim – Day One...
My name is Apoch, and I am a Dragonborn... Or so it would seem. In the past twenty four hours, I picked up my copy of The Elder Scrolls V: Skyrim, and never did I wish I had a video capture box more in my life then I do while playing this. I intend to finish up as much of this title as I can in the next week or two since this is only a rental. I do enjoy a good role playing game, but for some reason - as I duck and cover before saying this - I didn't care too much for The Elder Scrolls III or IV. Sorry, I just didnEY! WHO THREW THE DAGGER AT MY HEAD!!! Anyway...I am currently starting up an achievement guide for Skyrim, so don't worry all you loyal readers of Lead Example, one is in the works. Just bare in mind who you're talking to and how long it may take. I hope I'm not the only author here who picked this title up either. I know that Fizz mentioned he was going to start playing it soon, and after my time with this game today, I can definitely use…
