Author Notes:
Most of the achievements in this game are related to story, and the rest will most likely unlock as you play. There are very few actions that really take effort to earn, though the collectibles can be time-consuming to hunt down. The only thing you should really pay attention to this in this guide is the collectibles themselves as they require the most work.

The following achievements will unlock as you progress through the game.  The game is broken up into three acts with various chapters. Most chapters have an achievement tied to them for completing that section. Overall the game isn’t that difficult, but there are a few sections which will require a little extra thought and care to complete.

Collectibles

What You Need What You Need
Find the first health expander

There are two health upgrades hidden in the game. The first can be found on the Ascend chapter in act 3, and the second can be found in hospital later on in the same act. You can see their locations in the collectible videos below under “I want it all”.

Let there be rock! Let there be rock!
Beat the high score in Raven Thunder’s Rock Legend

During the chapter “The End of the Tunnel” you will come to a ladder which leads down to the sewers below. Before you reach the bottom of the ladder you will see a large pipe on the left hand wall. Jump across to the pipe and you will find the handheld inside on a body. You will need to collect this item for the 100% achievement, so don’t forget to pick it up.

Once you have the handheld, press :x: or access the handheld menu from Randall’s Memories on the main menu. From here you just need to beat the high score of 30 on the game and back out to the handheld menu once you exceed 30. The achievement won’t unlock if you stay within the game.

Invisible Touch Invisible Touch
Beat the high score in Madness Mansion

This land handheld is hidden in a small secret room on the chapter “Fallen”. Once you reach the missile silo, quickly run through and jump onto the ladder. Before going up, drop down to the small opening below the ladder and climb up. You will find the handheld just in front of you on the floor. Press :x: to play the game, or access it from Randall”s Memories from the main menu like before.

Unlike the two rythem games before, this one requires you to banish ghosts with your flashlight, so every time a ghost appears, quickly move to its location and press :a: to remove them with your light. Again, you will need to beat the score of 30 and exit the game once you exceed this score.

No Pain, No Gain No Pain, No Gain
Beat the high score in Sport Daisy

This second handheld is hidden high above the stadium. To reach this area, you will need to make your way to the end of the level. Once you reach the stadium field, turn around and jump to the ledge above. Up here you will find one secret, then a moveable object to close off the area with this secret. Once you get above the area with the secret, you can climb further up into the stands. Once you reach the top, you will need to use your gun to shoot a lock off the ladder across from where you are. So make sure you have at least one or more bullets in your revolver.

Once you jump over to the next platform, follow it until you find a box containing the second handheld. As before, press :x: or access the handheld from Randall’s Memories on the main menu. You will need to beat the high score of 30 again, but this time using the bumpers and triggers instead of the :a: button. Once you beat the score, quit the game to claim your achievement.

What's on your mind What’s on your mind
Find a page of Randall’s journal

You will first be introduced to Randall’s journal entries in the first level Left Behind. You can find this page in the locker upstairs after crossing the weak floorboards. Head past the radio, then as you exit the door you will see the lockers in front of you before the gap you need to jump.

Forget Me Nots Forget Me Nots
Find all of Randall’s memories

See “I want it all”.

Pickin' Up Strangers Pickin’ Up Strangers

Misc Actions

Knockin' on Heaven's Door Knockin’ on Heaven’s Door
Tackle a door

This is one of the very first actions that you will learn. Early in act 1 you will be prompted to smash through a door, to do so you need to hold the :rb: to start sprinting. Once you sprint into the door this will unlock.

Spreading the disease Spreading the disease
Get infected by a friend on the leaderboards

To earn this, all you have to do is load up the game, then check the leaderboards. If you have a friend with the game, this will unlock as you compare your stats.

Goodbye stranger Goodbye stranger
Push a zombie over a railing

For this you don’t really need to use a railing, but any object that a shadow can crawl over. Once you locate a shadow, get them close to the item you wish to knock them over, then start attacking them with the axe. If you knock the shadow over the item, this will unlock. It can be a box, railing, car or other objects such as filing cabinets. The video below will show you an example from the start of the playoff chapter where you find the shotgun.

Flirtin with Disaster Flirtin with Disaster
Tackle an enemy

This is a very useful, but also a very dangerous move to execute. To tackle an enemy you will need to start sprinting by holding the :rb: .  Once you’ve built a run up, run into an enemy and you will tackle them. You should only attempt this when there are fewer enemies as it will leave you open to attack. The shadow you tackle will start to attack you as you try to get up, so don’t forget to press :b: to keep the shadow off you.

Jump Jump
Roll to avoid lethal fall damage

There are many areas throughout the game to perform this action, but dont’ forget about it. There are many falls that won’t unlock this achievement, so you may need to use some trial and error to find an area that works. You will be introduced to the roll fairly early on. To roll you need to hold the :lt: while jumping from great heights.

One area that the roll is really useful is within the sewers and the rat man’s den. The video below will show you one location within the rat man’s den where you can execute this perfectly.

Don't Lose Your Head Don’t Lose Your Head
Kill an enemy with a single melee attack

This is a fairly random event that happens every so often while attacking enemies with your axe. As you swing, sometimes you will perform a kill that cuts off the enemies head. this can be the first hit, or a following hit, but it always results in the enemy dying by a beheading. There are several enemies throughout the game that have their back to you, usually if you use your axe to kill them it will usually be with a single shot kill. This will unlock at some point, but as it’s semi random it’s hard to perform a 1 hit kill every time.

Another one bites the dust Another one bites the dust
Perform a combo on an enemy

To perform a combo you will need to tap the :b: several times and hit an enemy with each hit without them hitting you. This is fairly easy, just keep your distance and swing before the enemy has a chance to even get close to you. As long as all your hits connect, you will be rewarded with this achievement.

Wanted Dead or Alive Wanted Dead or Alive
Reload the revolver really fast

You will be introduced to the revolver fairly early on in act 1. You will enter a flashback of which has you outside the city in the woods. You will be talking to a friend which takes you through a short tutorial about using the revolver. As soon as you’re able to use the weapon, quickly tap the :lb: to reload the gun quickly.

If you manage to reload fast enough this will unlock in this sequence.

Rust in peace Rust in peace
Perform a headshot

After obtaining the revolver, you can then take advantage of using it to clear enemies. You won’t be able to earn this in the tutorial, so as soon as you exit and return to current events, line up your shot with the :rs: and fire with the :rt: when you’re lined up. This will come with natural progression as you can’t afford to waste bullets, and it takes several shots to kill a shadow if you miss a headshot.

Go back to hell Go back to hell
Execute an enemy

This is another action that you will learn early on in chapter 1 which you will need to take advantage of. Once you obtain the fire axe, you will then be able to press :b: to attack enemies. Once an enemy is on the ground, you will need to hold :b: until you dismember the enemy.
