Complete the annual Lunar New Years achievements.
This is a yearly achievement that returns with the festival. The requirements reset when the festival returns the following year. You will be given a series of tasks to complete for this achievement. Doing so will reward you with 50 achievement points.
Check the New Year’s Customs tab in the achievement panel to keep track of your progress. Complete 5 of the following achievements:
- Golden Firestarter
- Firecracker Finder
- Light Up the Sky
- Sparking Celebration
- New Year’s Resolution
- Celestial Racer
Note: The Firecracker Lighting 2 adventure doesn’t seem to count towards Golden Firestarter.
Gain 5 invisibility power-ups in the Dragon Ball arena.
This ability is located in the middle of the arena, on the upper platform. You will need to collect this 5 times to unlock the achievement. You can reach it by using the jump pad on the bridge above.
This ability will give you a huge advantage over your opponents as they won’t be able to see you for a short period.
Interrupt 8 skills in the Dragon Ball arena.
This is the most time-consuming and difficult achievement to complete. You will need to pick up the Dragon Kick, which is located on either side of the upper floor in the middle. Once you have it, you will then be able to kick your opponents with skill 4. This will stun them for a short period.
Overall this is a very hit and miss achievement as you need to daze your opponents while they are casting their skills.
Gain 8,888 health while in the Dragon Ball arena.
Around the arena you will find various health pick ups. They come in the form of glowing blue orbs. You can only pick these orbs up if your health is below 100%, they come in increments of 10, 25 and 50 points. Obtaining 8,888 health points is something you will be while playing in this game mode.
Gain 4 Dragon damage power-ups in the Dragon Ball arena.
The dragon damage power up is in the middle of the arena, on the ground floor. You will need to collect this power-up 4 times, once collected you will inflict bonus damage to your enemies.
Dragon Ball Champion
Win 10 games of Dragon Ball
This will come through natural progression of playing the game mode. There’s no sure-fire way to make sure you win. Every match you join will be with randomly selected players. All you can do is hope your team plays well together, flanks your opponents and sticks together.
Note: This achievement can be repeated infinite times.
Light Up the Sky
Set off 88 Lunar New Year fireworks.
There are two ways to get fireworks, one is through the Trading Post. The other is through opening lucky envelops. You will need to set off 88 fireworks total.
Use any of the following to fireworks to earn this achievement:
- (1) Lucky Guild Firework
- (1) Great Guild Firework
- (1) Lunar new Year Firework
- (1) Lucky New Year Firework
- (1) Visage of the Great Ram Firework
- (1) Visage of the Great Monkey Firework
- (1) Visage of the Rooster Firework
Reward: Mini Lunar Shepherd
Set off 300 Lunar New Year fireworks.
A fairly simple task, collect 300 fireworks and set them off. You can either buy them from the trading post, or collect them from the various envelopes earned from the festivities.
This achievement is repeatable up to 5 times to earn 25 ap. You will need 1,500 fireworks to complete this achievement. The rewards can be earned an infinite amount of times.
Set off 8 Great fireworks during the Lunar New Year festival.
Each festival has it’s own Visage of the Great. You can buy 8 of these fireworks off the trading post, or you can open Divine Envelopes and test your luck. Use eight of these fireworks to earn the achievement.
New Year’s Benevolence
Donate Lunar New Year food to the celestial pigs for good luck in the new year.
Near the waypoint in The Crown Pavilion you will find several pigs close to the adventures. To earn this achievement you will need to feed them the various food types listed above each pig.
Each cycle of the achievement needs 100 food. In total you will need to feed the pigs 500 food items to earn all 25 points.
Soulbind a Lucky Great back item during the Lunar New Years festival.
To unlock this achievement you will need to craft one of the backpacks. Once created you will need to soulbind the backpiece to one of your characters. If you don’t soulbind this item it will remain tradeable, so make sure you right click and select stats to bind it.
Combine the following items in the Mystic Forge to craft your new companion:
- (1) Lucky Lantern Backpack
- (25) Lucky New Year Fireworks
- (20) Bottles of Elonian Wine
- 250 Essence of Luck (fine)
Complete the race event in Divinitiy’s Reach during Lunar New Year.
Fairly simple, complete the race three times to earn progression. You can repeat this achievement 5 times to earn up to 25 ap. Just make sure you finish the race before the time runs out.
Complete the race event in Divinity’s Reach during Lunar New Years in under 3 minutes, 30 seconds.
You find the race start point in the Crown Pavilion. The race will take you all around the city and end at the Throne Room entrance. Don’t fret if you don’t have a mount, you can rent one from the Festival Mount Rental NPC at the start point.
Complete the race in the required time to earn progress for this achievement.
Reward: Mini Lunar Gourdog
New Year’s Resolution
Complete the race event in Divinty’s Reach during Lunar New year in Under 5 minutes, 30 seconds without using a mount.
Complete the race on foot from start to finish. You will need to reach the finishing line in under 5 minutes and 30 seconds. This is quite straightforward although some classes may run in to issues. This is easier when you have access to a lot of mobility, leaps and shadow steps.
Earn a gold medal in the Lunar New Year adventure in Divinity’s Reach.
This adventure is found in the Crown Pavilion just north of the Lunar New Year Vendor. To earn gold in this adventure you will need to activate all the fireworks around the city within 4 minutes and 30 seconds.
You will need access to the Springer or Griffon to complete this adventure within the time frame. Most of the firecrackers are up high or in hard to each places.
New Year, New Quaggan
Donate 1,000 essences of luck to change Drooburt’s Yearly bad fortune.
Drootburt can be found on the south side of The Crown Pavilion. He’s marked with a red envelope so he’s easy enough to find. Once you find him, give him any luck you may have from salvaged items. You will need to give him 1,000 luck to complete this achievement, and 5,000 overall to earn the full 25 points. Luck is refined using the artificer so you can make this process a little easier by giving him exotic luck.
This is a repeatable achievement. Repeating it 5 times will reward you with 25 ap.
Find and light all of the firecrackers in the Crown Pavilion.
There are 10 firecrackers in total, all of them are within The Crown Pavilion district of Divinity’s Reach. If you’re having difficulty finding them, you can use the map below which details each location.
Note: Turn on “Show All Usable Object Names” to make this easier. Gliding and mounts make this and fairly quick achievement.
