Siege the Stronghold
Assault the Stronghold of the Faithful and gain access to the courtyard.
A fairly simple task, that requires you to beat this first “boss”. You can take as long as you need to complete this encounter, so do what you need in order to reach the end and break down the door.
I Can Outrun A… Warg
Siege the stronghold in under 8 minutes.
Out of all the achievements tied to this wing, this will give people the most issues. You need to complete the whole Escort and boss fight within 8 minutes. the most straight forward way to do this is to use any usual methods you may know of, but have the someone hold and slow down the back Warg(s) while the group pushing forward with Glenna and bursts down the front Warg(s).
Once you reach the top of the stairs the back Warg(s) will de-spawn. From here you just need to beat Mc Leod and the achievement will unlock at the end of the encounter. This may take some patience and a little practice, but it’s fairly doable with a capable group.
Love Is Bunny
Reunite Glenna’s rabbit with it’s love at the end of the Siege the Stronghold Event.
At the very start of the instance, you will find a fire with a cooking pot tucked away on the right side of the instance entrance. Once Glenna has been made to follow, you will need to take her to the end of the instance.
At this small camp site you will find a rabbit spawns next to the cooking station. I’d recommend taking Glenna through the whole stronghold. Then once clear, have someone go back and pickup the rabbit and bring it to the end before you finish the instance. If whoever has the rabbit drops it any time before the end it will despawn and run off.
Bring the rabbit to the end and place it down and lead Glenna to it.
Destroy a mine and successfully siege the stronghold.
As you enter the stronghold you will be presented with two paths. The path to the left is a tranquil path of death. The right path is littered with while mantle, mines, turrets and further torment. You will need to take the right path and destroy at least one mine on this path.
You can destroy mines with melee attacks and maximum range, or you can use ranged attacks. They’re fairly weak, but will kill you instantly if you touch them. After destroying at least one mine, you will need to progress on and finish the encounter for this to unlock.
Scourge of the White Mantle
be a Vandal
At the end of the escort encounter you will find yourself in the courtyard. Ahead of you will be Keep Construct, but to your right there will be a small area full of stuff to investigate. Behind one of the tends you will find a statue, break the statue and this will unlock.
Destroy Xera’s Keep Construct.
Destroying the Keep Construct will unlock this achievement and allow you to progress to the Twisted Castle.
Down, Down, Downed
Survive the fight against Keep Construct with a reduced playable space.
At the start of the Keep Construct fight you will see a challenge mote to the left of the stairs. Activating this mote will allow you to take part in this challenge. Unlike your usual arena, the area will be reduced with a red ring of death. Much like you see during the core phase of the fight. But instead you will need to complete the fight with this ring active the whole time.
This isn’t really that challenging, but it may take some adjustment due to the slightly reduced area and bomb phases.
Traverse the Twisted Castle
Navigate Xera’s twisted floating castle and ring the bell to escape.
Once someone in your squad reaches the end of the Twisted Castle this will unlock. Anyone who’s fallen to their death, or died from madness stacks will also unlock this achievement.
Traverse the Twisted Castle without being caught by a haunted statue.
Throughout the castle you will encounter statues. These statues will stand still as long as your player character has line of sight on them. This means your character’s eyes must line up with the statue.
Being caught by the statues means standing in the red AoE circle at their feet. This will then send you back to the start and void the achievement.
Note: This achievement may still be achievable even after you’ve been sent back. If you’re caught and still have the achievement icon on your boon bar it will usually still unlock when you the instance is complete.
Traverse the Twisted Castle without anyone in your squad reaching 99 stacks of madness.
Madness is a stacking debuff which has different effects depending on the amount a player has. Reaching 99 will kill you, so it’s something you want to avoid. Players in your squad can die, and still obtain this achievement, but they cannot reach 99 total stacks and die of the debuff.
To avoid this, your party will need to know the castle routes to complete everything quickly. When you encounter a fountain, you will want to dip your hands, instead of drink. Dipping allows you to remove 10 stacks of madness, where as drinking just stops the stacks from counting up.
To void excess stacks, don’t look at the paintings, and keep your character facing away from the center of the maze as much as possible. The giant spinning totem in the middle will greatly increase the amount of stacks you earn.
This will unlock once you defeat Xera for the first time. This fight isn’t that intense compared to Matthias. So if you’ve downed him, Xera shouldn’t pose much of a challenge.
