Bitter Harvest

Guild Wars 2 Heart of Thorns Act 4 Achievement Guide Line of Fire
Defeat the Mordrem Snipers

Follow the path until you come to a canyon. You will need to head around the right hand side, but before you do, glide across the gap to the snipers on the ledge ahead of you. Kill these two sharpshooters.

Note: You will not have any achievement markers on your boon bar for this achievement. So don’t panic if you don’t see the icon for this achievement.

Guild Wars 2 Heart of Thorns Act 4 Achievement Guide Untethered
Avoid being struck by any vine whips while climbing the helix.

Once you reach the helix, you will need to climb to the top avoiding the AoE tendrils on the way. They’re easy to avoid, just keep to the edges of the helix and move up between the waves. Make sure to kill the walls and the enemies on your way. This should unlock at the top of the helix.

Note: This is buggy, so there’s a high chance you may not earn this even if you do complete the requirements flawlessly.

You will also not have a prompt for any achievement progress. So keep in mind that you won’t know if this is successful until it unlocks at the very top of the helix.

Guild Wars 2 Heart of Thorns Act 4 Achievement Guide Air Superiority
Dive from the top of the helix into the center and reach the bottom within 10 seconds.

Once you reach the end of the instance, you will need to fight the Mordrem Beast. After the beast has fallen, turn around and jump back to the helix. You need to jump from the top of the helix and avoid all the various spines that stick out.

If you hit the bottom within 10 seconds you will earn this achievement. If you happen to die on the way down, or don’t’ earn this, just retry checkpoint and attempt it again.

Note: You will not have any achievement markers on your boon bar for this achievement. So don’t panic if you don’t see the icon for this achievement.

Hearts and Minds

Guild Wars 2 Heart of Thorns Act 4 Achievement Guide Dream Warrior
Complete all 3 possible ally fights.

After entering the instance you will be given the option to choose who to take into the dream state. You will need to take two of the following companions into the fight. You will need to repeat this at least once to fight all three dream bosses.

  • Canach (Canach’s Shadow)
  • Caithe (Pale Tree)
  • Braham (Eir)

Guild Wars 2 Heart of Thorns Act 4 Achievement Guide Flights of Fancy
Avoid getting hit during all the forced-flight sections of the final encounter. Entering a protective shield negates qualification.

Guild Wars 2 Heart of Thorns Act 4 Achievement Guide Migraine
Complete the mission while Extreme Mode is active. (Extreme Mode is intended for parties of 5.)

As you start this, keep in mind this is a far more extreme version of the original boss fight. There are differences in the design and you can expect long drawn out fights.

Dream Warriors

For this dream sequence I’d suggest picking Braham and Canach. Both these fights are straight forward, but tedious. Caithes fight on the other hand can be very frustrating due to possible instance wipes.

Eir

There’s two ways to deal with this fight, one is to kill Garm and lure Eir so you have a moment to apply damage to her while she revives. This can be useful if you’re in a tight spot and need a moment to regroup. The method that seems to work best is to keep on top of Eir and apply as much direct damage before she shadow steps.

This fight is very tedious due to the barrage of fire damage every so often. There’s no easy way to avoid this apart from swiftness and using the speed mushrooms. Just try to keep up with Eir and apply as much damage as possible.

Canach

This fight consists of Canach’s shadow spamming you with various grenades. Applying condition damage to him works well, but you need to keep moving. He will block direct damage at various points in the fight, but conditions will continue to low his health slowly even when blocking.

This fight is a little hit and miss once you reach the shield reflecting, so just time your reflects carefully.

Mordremoth’s Avatar

If you’ve made it this far, congratulations you’re now half way. This next section will test your patience. You will need to progress through the next three rift phases by damaging the avatar until he spawns one of your companions.

You need to repeat this progress like you did the first time. Little has changed, though you will take higher damage.

Phase two of this fight is also fairly similar, though you will need to dodge a timed AoE attack every so often.

This should be attempted with 5 party members. Attempting with less will cause this instance to drag on, which is something you don’t really want to do as this can take up to and beyond an hour with 5 players.

Note: This fight is simple and straight forward. Your biggest issues will be the instance bugging. Currently the updrafts are temperamental, and rifts sometimes bug into locations you can’t reach. If this happens you will need to reset your run.
