Summary:
As part of the Vintage Collection, Sega breaks out the sequel to their smash hit Sonic the Hedgehog with Part 2 of the series. The game is about the same, but there's some changes in play that make this one of the better titles in the series. This is the game that introduced the world to Tails, a lovable yet annoying fox with two tails that can fly, a tighter gameplay dynamic and control response time, as well as making Sonic himself faster. Collect rings, clear the stages, grab the chaos emeralds, and defeat the evil Dr. Robotnik once again in this classic title available on next-generation consoles.

Story Mode Achievements

Emerald Hill
You cleared the Emerald Hill Zone 1.

You need to complete the Emerald Hill Zone 1 stage in the game.

Casino
You got to the Casino Night Zone.

You just need to reach the Casino Night Zone in the game.

Win
You beat the game.

You need to complete all stages in the game. If you’re having trouble, be sure to utilize the game’s save system.

On-Line Achievements

Xbox Live Racer
You won 10 versus zones on Xbox Live.

Just play Versus Mode and win 10 times. It’s suggested to play them with a friend, as well as do the Special Stage as it’s the quickest, especially if you can’t track down a friend.

All Multiplayer
You played all four multiplayer zones.

All you have to do is play all four zones in Multiplayer Mode. You don’t actually have to win them.

Chaos Emerald Achievements

Chaos Emerald
You got one Chaos Emerald.

You just need to acquire one Chaos Emerald. You need to have 50 rings on you at one time, then find a checkpoint side post, pass it to register the checkpoint, then jump through the circle above it to enter a Special Stage. Be sure to use the save function of the game, especially before you play the Special Stage incase you mess up so you don’t have to play through the stage again.

Chaos Master
You got all the Chaos Emeralds.

You need to collect all 7 Chaos Emeralds. You need to have 50 rings on you at one time, then find a checkpoint sign post. When you do, and you pass by it to trigger the checkpoint, a ring of circles appear atop it spinning. Jump through this circle, then complete the special stage. Be sure to use the game’s save function to your advantage, and save before you actually start a special stage incase you mess up, that way you don’t have to go through a whole stage again.

Super Sonic
You became Super Sonic.

In order to become Super Sonic, you need to collect all 7 of the Chaos Emeralds, then play any stage when you have all 7 in your possession, collect 50 rings, then jump in the air and press :a: to become Super Sonic.

Misc. Achievements

Extended Super
You stayed in Super Sonic mode for one minute.

Enter Super Sonic mode by juping into the air and pressing :a: when you have all 7 Chaos Emeralds available. When you enter Super Sonic mode, the 50 rings you collect count down 1 ring per 1 second.  This means that you just need another 10 rings to make it 1 minute. Let a total of 60 rings pass and you will have stayed in Super Sonic mode for 1 minute.

Fast Chemical
You beat Chemical Plant Zone 1 in under 45 seconds.

You need to beat the Chemical Plant Zone 1 in 45 seconds or less.

Fast Emerald
You beat Emerald Hill Zone 1 in under 35 seconds in single-player or co-op mode.

You need to beat the Emerald Hill Zone 1 in under 35 seconds or less. This is easier to do in Single Player then Co-Op, especially if you can’t find a partner that is good at gaming.

Conquering Time
You beat the game in under an hour.

You need to complete ever stage of the game in under an hour. Abuse the save feature of the game to make sure you go through each stage as fast as possible, and use backup saves incase you finish a stage, and you feel you could have done it faster.
