After a certain amount of time, the message at the bottom of the screen will say that you CAN exit, and the test will continue when you load the Xbox LIVE Labs program again.

Xbox LIVE Labs will only be available in US territories
between March 10th, 2011 until March 27th, 2011.

“Xbox LIVE Labs needs your help to improve Xbox 360 and Xbox LIVE. There are multiple tests for your avatar to run. As a thanks for helping us, your avatar will be awarded exclusive Xbox LIVE Labs gear for each test you complete.”

Xbox LIVE Labs is a free downloadable program on the Xbox Marketplace that will be available for a limited time only, and available only to gamers in the United States, and offers them some easy time-based achievements worth absolutely nothing but bragging rights for completionists. This is a method for Microsoft to better their Xbox Live servers, such as upgrading them. This is nothing but a program that runs tests while the Xbox idle/ You can’t escape once the testing starts, or you will have to run Xbox LIVE Labs all over again, so unless you have something else to do while it runs, prepare to sit and stare at this screen for a couple hours straight to unlock all achievements and awards:

For your patience, Microsoft offers users of this specialty program 3 achievements (worth 0 points), similar to the launch gamer picture given to those who bought the launch Xbox 360 consoles, as well as 3 avatar awards (technically 4 as one is for male avatars, and the other for female avatars). When all is done, your avatar could look like this:

So, the only question now is whether or not you find it’s worth sitting around, letting your Xbox run tests, keep you gaming, all for some mad scientist-like avatar awards, and 3 achievements worth absolutely nothing.
